Container school building: flexible solution for growing pupil numbers
In Mulfingen the rapidly growing number of pupils required an expansion of the premises for lunchtime supervision. The local authority opted for a container facility consisting of spacious modules.
PH Container met the requirements of the tender with a flexible and fast container solution and was awarded the contract for the implementation of the container school building in November 2023. In May 2024, it was already possible to start operating all-day care in the new rooms of the container school.
Sustainable and aesthetically pleasing - modern school building in container design
The external appearance of the modular container building blends harmoniously into its surroundings, as it is designed with a façade made of Hardie-Plank fiber cement panels with a wood look. The container facility is rounded off by a cold saddle roof, which gives the container building an attractive and modern appearance.
The spacious modular facility comprises four container rooms for all-day groups, which receive plenty of daylight thanks to large, triple-glazed windows. Aluminum blinds provide effective heat protection and shade in summer. Pupils' safety is guaranteed by lockable window handles with a tilt before turn function.
With triple-glazed windows and reinforced wall, floor and roof insulation, the container building meets the latest legal requirements in accordance with GEG regulations. A heat pump solution with split air conditioning units ensures energy-saving heating in winter and pleasant cooling in summer.
Modular school building with high-quality equipment
The container school is also equipped with high-quality, glazed aluminum doors with panic function, as well as a floor mat embedded in the floor, which ensures cleanliness in the central corridor and the group rooms.
Environmentally friendly linoleum in friendly colors was chosen for the flooring. The floor of the toilet containers is tiled and the suspended toilets, washbasins and urinals are made of durable branded ceramics. All water and waste water pipes are vandal-proof and attractively concealed behind tiled installation walls.
The lighting for the WCs in the container modules is controlled by motion detectors, as are the outdoor lights, which ensure safety in the outdoor area. Modern LED microprismatic luminaires provide pleasant lighting in the container groups and in the corridor. The emergency lighting, which remains lit for around three hours in the event of a power failure, completes the legally required F30 fire package for the container facility, which also includes fire-resistant wall cladding. An acoustic ceiling with scattered perforations ensures pleasant room acoustics in the container rooms.
